Nebbiolo

This is a late ripening grape that's known for being tannic, pruny, tarry and chocolaty. It is notoriously difficult to grow. Nebbiolo is grown in the Piedmont area of Italy (where it makes Barolo wine), Switzerland, California and Australia.
